“Our focus is on creating a cohesive community network, whereby we can support groups and residents to assist each other in making Stoke a great place to live. “
Surrey Choices Lockwood Centre
The Lockwood Centre aims to develop ability, independence and potential through community involvement, arts and work opportunities. The primary users of thec entre are adults with learning disabilities who live in South West Surrey.
We work with local artists who run a wide range of sessions at the centre from art and cookery to jewellery making and car maintenance.
There are also specialist services for older people and those with dementia, as well as for people on the autistic spectrum. Lockwood has National Autistic Society Accreditation.
We are also home to a wide range of community projects that are open to all: these include Lockwood Arts as well as Baby Swimming, who use our heated pool for their sessions.
We have a fantastic hall and vintage tea room, which can be hired out. Please contact us for more information.
Volunteer opportunities: We are always looking for volunteers to support our sessions. Please contact us to find out how you can help.
