“Our focus is on creating a cohesive community network, whereby we can support groups and residents to assist each other in making Stoke a great place to live. “
Northmead Junior School
Northmead Junior School is a busy three form entry school in Stoughton.
The dedication, commitment and enthusiasm of everyone involved in Northmead inspires our children to strive to achieve their best and encourages them to make the most of every opportunity presented.
Northmead is continually looking for ways to ensure continued success for our children and we are always seeking like minded people to help us achieve our goals.
We encourage parents and people from our local community to come into school and help out. Volunteers make a huge difference and staff really appreciate their support.
Help can take many forms; hearing children read, helping small groups of children with art and craft activities, taking part in our ‘Fantastic Friday’ activity days, grounds work and helping on trips.
Perhaps you have a talent that you would like to share that you think would benefit the children’s learning and enjoyment. We would be delighted to hear all about it and welcome you into the life of our school!
Any volunteer needs to be DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service) and the school can arrange this. As soon as your DBS has cleared we will contact you and arrange for you to help in school.
Please don’t be put off volunteering by the DBS check. It is for the children’s safety and, once you are helping in school and working alongside the children, I am sure you will feel this process was worth it.
We look forward to hearing from you.
