A series of free workshops for mental and emotional wellbeing are taking place in the new year hosted by First Steps.
The topics and dates for these emotional gyms are:
Coping with frustration and anger: February 3.
Stress at work and at home: February 10.
Low mood: February 17.
Anxiety: February 24.
Self-esteem: March 2.
Communication and assertiveness: March 9.

First Steps aims to help people find their way back to emotional well-being. The goal is to help people talk about and understand their emotions, thoughts and feelings, and make informed choices in addressing their mental health needs.
First Steps have trained mental health advisors with backgrounds in a variety of professions. They offer a range of self-help resources, educational sessions and signpost people to other relevant local services. The service is provided by Virgin Care on behalf of the local health authority.
